The Stable of Stars Breeding Program
A key feature of the Stable of Stars Racing Club lay in our desire to educate the community in general about all aspects of the Thoroughbred Racing Industry.
The Breeding industry is a particularly important part of the whole horse racing landscape so we would like to give our Members an in-depth and fully engaged experience around the breeding of thoroughbred racehorses.
Our intention is to set up our own Breeding program where:
- The Stable of Stars Racing Club will acquire our own broodmares (either by purchasing them ourselves or through the support of stud farms and breeders)
- We will send our broodmares to some of the top farms in the country
- Our Members will then be able to follow the progress of our broodmares and their subsequent foals through the whole racehorse lifecycle process
- Some of the experiences that our Members can be involved with include:
Researching and selecting a Sire
The mating process
What happens during pregnancy
Foaling
Rearing of the foal
Weanling to Yearling
Pre-Training & Education
Training
Racing
Retirement – what happens after the Racetrack career is over?
Members will be taken on the whole journey through:
- Stories via email and social media (each of our broodmares will have her own Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts)
- Regular image and video updates
- Regular trips to the farms
- Hands-on experiences as often as possible
Participation in this part of the program is just another benefit of being a Stable of Stars Member
